FUR processing plant workers were gunned down at a processing plant in the central Chinese province of Jiangsu early Saturday.
The six workers, who were among the eight workers who were fired by the facility, were killed by gunfire, the provincial government said in a statement.
The workers were fired for not meeting the requirements of a new training program, according to the statement.
Jiangsu’s labor ministry said in March that the facility had been operating at a lower capacity due to its large amount of animals and its reliance on temporary workers.
The plant employs about 2,500 workers, according the government.
